DC Hub × OpenRouter — Integration Package

DC Hub (dchub.cloud) is a live data layer for the physical infrastructure behind AI: data center facilities worldwide, power-market scores (Data Center Power Index), live ISO grid telemetry, interconnection queues, fiber, gas, water and disaster risk, and tracked data center M&A. It is served over MCP at https://dchub.cloud/mcp (Streamable HTTP) and over a REST API.

Connect

OpenRouter routes model calls; DC Hub supplies the data. Declare DC Hub as tools in the request you send through OpenRouter and call DC Hub when the model asks.

Function calling (REST-backed)

function-calling.json in this package declares six tools for function calling (search_facilities, get_facility, get_market_intel, list_transactions, get_news, analyze_site), each mapped to a REST endpoint under api_config.endpoint_mapping. The names match the MCP tools of the same name.

MCP

This platform is not an MCP client. It has no field for a custom MCP server, so no config block applies here.

Install: reach DC Hub over the REST API — curl https://dchub.cloud/api/agent/facilities?q=Equinix&country=US (keyless at free-tier depth; send X-API-Key for a higher allowance). Full reference: https://dchub.cloud/api-docs

Clients that do take an MCP config file, each generated from canon: Claude Desktop · Claude Code · Cursor · Cline · VS Code · Windsurf · Gemini CLI · Antigravity

Direct REST

curl -H "X-API-Key: YOUR_DCHUB_KEY" \
     "https://dchub.cloud/api/agent/facilities?q=Equinix&country=US"
import os, requests

API_KEY = os.getenv("DC_HUB_API_KEY")          # optional; keyless works at free-tier depth
HEADERS = {"Accept": "application/json", **({"X-API-Key": API_KEY} if API_KEY else {})}

def query_dchub(path, params=None):
    r = requests.get(f"https://dchub.cloud/api{path}",
                     headers=HEADERS, params=params, timeout=15)
    r.raise_for_status()
    return r.json()

facilities = query_dchub("/agent/facilities", {"q": "Equinix", "country": "US"})
deals = query_dchub("/transactions", {"limit": 10})
lmp = query_dchub("/v1/lmp/prices")

Access

DC Hub answers keyless at free-tier depth. For a higher allowance, send X-API-Key: YOUR_DCHUB_KEY (REST) or add the same header to your MCP client. Claim a free key with the claim_free_key MCP tool or POST /api/v1/keys/claim; plans are at https://dchub.cloud/pricing. YOUR_DCHUB_KEY in this package is a placeholder, never a working key.

MCP tools

A starting set. The server's full, current list is what tools/list returns on https://dchub.cloud/mcp, also published at https://dchub.cloud/llms.txt.

ToolWhat it answers
search_facilitiesFind facilities by name, operator, city, state or country
get_facilityOne facility's profile, from a search result id or slug
get_market_intelMarket analytics for a metro (vacancy, pricing, pipeline)
rank_marketsRank markets by criteria such as best overall or power
get_market_dcpi_rankA market's Data Center Power Index rank and BUILD/CAUTION/AVOID verdict
get_grid_intelligencePer-ISO grid headroom and verdict
get_interconnection_queueInterconnection queue depth by ISO
get_fiber_intelFiber routes and carriers
list_transactionsTracked data center M&A, filterable by buyer, seller and value
analyze_siteScore a latitude/longitude for data center suitability
compare_sitesSide-by-side comparison of sites or markets
